St Barnabas Furniture Project
The St Barnabas Furniture Project is a warehouse with furniture and household items to be sold at an affordable price to those that are in need in the area. Good quality items are collected from around the community, then made available for others to buy.
Stock varies from week to week, but we usually have the following available:

- Living room furniture
- Dining furniture
- Beds and Mattresses
- Bedroom furniture
Who can come to the project?
St Barnabas Furniture Project is run by Huntingdonshire Community Church. We operate on a referral system. Agencies throughout Huntingdonshire working with underprivileged and needy people can refer anyone to the project.
Referrals are valid for a 12 month period. Clients should bring their referral form with them on their first visit. This will then be retained by the project for future visits.

More about St Barnabas Furniture Project
Barnabas Project started in 1996 working with Huntingdon Probation Community Service Team offering ex-offenders work renovating furniture. The project was named after the church which originally provided the project with a base - a garage belonging to the vicar of St Barnabas Church.
The project has been managed and run by a varied group of individuals who had a heart to help those in need. In 2009, the management committee approached Huntingdonshire Community Church (HCC) and asked them to consider helping with the project. For several years, HCC had been running "Shareout", a project that distributed household goods and furniture free of charge.. This was done through 4 events each year held at the Medway Centre.
The management committee and HCC have been working together over the past year to establish the partnership. The aim is to transfer the running of the project to HCC who will then work to expand it and build on the excellent foundations that have existed for the past 14 years.
St Barnabas Furniture Project is a registered charity number: 1071579
