Our Vision
Our Statement of Purpose is:
1. To worship God 2. To personally and corporately grow to maturity in Christ 3. To bring the Kingdom of God into our area and the nations
Our vision is: To be a Local Church impacting its community and an Apostolic Centre impacting this and other nations.
We are seeking to achieve this vision through the following objectives: To spread the good news of Jesus Christ throughout Huntingdonshire and beyond To meet together regularly in order to edify one another To be a house of prayer To be a body of believers who worship in Spirit and truth at all times To impart the Word of God to all ages in ways that edify To give aid in terms of time, money and resources to those in need locally, nationally and overseas To flow in body ministry where all are encouraged to serve the Lord and one another
Each objective is being worked towards with a variety of strategies. These include: Life Groups Worship and Teaching gatherings Alpha courses Special age range groups Social projects Equipping and Training courses
Our one year goals for 2006 are:
Leadership and Ministry To appoint 2 new elders, 2 new coordinators, new links as needed To launch events for Men, for Fathers and for Relationship Building To develop the Freedom in Christ course with all leaders undertaking a Freedom Appointment either as a result of completing the course or self study
Vision and Outreach To gather and train a team to launch Healing Clinic To gather and train a team to launch Money Advice Centre To continue to investigate purchase of a new building To use Shareout to help meet more of the practical needs of the community To begin to gather people with a call to plant a new church west of Huntingdon To develop the use of Blowing Your Cover
Youth and Children To see twice as many young people regularly engaged in church by having more involvement in local schools, youth organisations and HCC events. To continue to develop the youth friendly value of HCC by involving youth more in all aspects of church life, leadership, meetings etc To establish a training course for children’s workers To run a children’s summer club
Giving and Income To identify a new third world project to regularly support To give away a minimum of £41.5K (2005: £40.5K) To see a minimum income of £251.5K (2005: £229K)
